How long does it take to process my order?

We process all orders within 24–48 hours. Delivery typically takes 5–8 working days across India. Remote areas may require 2–3 additional days.
Can I cancel my order?
+
Yes, you can cancel your order within 6 hours of placing it. After that, the order will have been dispatched and cancellation will not be possible. To cancel, email us at contact@kalavihar.com or reach us on WhatsApp.
How do I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number by email. You can also view the live status on your Account page, along with the courier partner tracking link.
Are bulk orders available?

Absolutely! For corporate gifting, events, or large quantity orders, please contact us directly. Special pricing is available for bulk purchases.
An item is missing from my order — what should I do?
+
Please contact us immediately with photos of what was received. We will either ship the missing item within 48 hours or issue a refund — your choice.
Are the products genuinely handmade?
+
100% yes. Every single piece is crafted by skilled artisans from the Mithila region of Bihar. We work directly with artisan families — there are no middlemen involved.
Is every product unique?
+
Yes! Because everything is handmade, each piece will have slight variations in colour, pattern, or size. This is not a defect — it is what makes each piece one of a kind.
Are the product dimensions accurate?

Dimensions are listed on each product page. For handmade pieces, a variation of ±1–2 cm is normal and expected.
Can I place a custom or personalised order?

Yes! Custom pieces are available for special occasions, weddings, and corporate gifting. Lead time is typically 2–4 weeks. Please contact us to discuss the details.
Are the colours in the artwork natural?

Yes. Traditional Madhubani art uses natural and organic colours made with time-tested techniques. They are eco-friendly and long-lasting.
What are the shipping charges?

Orders above ₹5,000 — Free Delivery! Orders below ₹5,000 — flat ₹99 shipping charge. COD orders carry an additional ₹30 fee.
Do you deliver across India?

Yes! We deliver to every corner of India, including J&K and the Northeast. Some remote areas may take 2–3 additional days.
How is the artwork packaged?
+
Every artwork is wrapped in cushioned, waterproof packaging. Fragile items are double-boxed. We take great care to ensure your art arrives safely.
Is international shipping available?

We currently ship within India only. International shipping is coming soon — subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
+
Yes, COD is available on selected pin codes. You can check availability at the checkout page by entering your pin code.
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Credit/Debit Cards, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), Net Banking, EMI, and Cash on Delivery. All payments are processed securely through Razorpay.
Is an EMI option available?

Yes! EMI is available on credit cards for 3, 6, and 12 month tenures. Simply select the EMI option during checkout.
My payment failed but the amount was deducted. What happens?

If a payment fails and the amount was deducted, it will be automatically refunded within 5–7 working days. If it is not, please contact us with your order ID.
Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. We use Razorpay — India's leading payment gateway — which is SSL encrypted and PCI DSS compliant. We never store your card details on our servers.
Will I receive a GST invoice?

Yes, a GST invoice is sent by email with every order. If you need a registered business invoice, you can add your GSTIN during checkout.
What is the return policy?

You may raise a return request within 7 days of delivery if the product is damaged, defective, or incorrect. The item must be unused and in its original packaging.
How long does a refund take?

Once the return is approved, the refund will be credited to your original payment source within 5–7 working days.
Can I exchange a product?

Yes, you can exchange for a product of equal value. Shipping charges apply to the customer (free in damage cases).
How do I initiate a return?

Email us at contact@kalavihar.com or message us on WhatsApp with your order number and photos of the issue. We will respond within 24 hours.
Is creating an account mandatory?
+
No! Guest checkout is available. However, having an account makes it easy to track orders, save addresses, and view your order history.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your email address, and a reset link will be sent to you within 5 minutes.
Can I sign in with Google?

Yes! The "Continue with Google" option is available on the login and registration page — fast, secure, and no password needed.
How do I delete my account?
+
Send a request to contact@kalavihar.com. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 7 working days.
